Soul & Style Summit - 7 Feb 2025

I am still awestruck with the mind-bending facts and anecdotes shared by the panelists during the Soul and Style Summit on 7 Feb'25, Friday organised by Harman Foundation, a preferred charity organisation of BIRD Migrant Onboarding & Integration Services.

Under the kind guidance of Harinder Kaur ji, we volunteers dedicated an afternoon towards creating awareness around Digital Safety, Financial Frauds and Cyber-Crimes ably hosted by emcee of the day Jasmiit Singh.

As a moderator for the panel discussion, I realised that the experiences of panelists Alaka Satapathy , Manpreet Singh and Ferdinand Tadiaman meant a lot to the audience who kept putting forth questions around their own experiences with phishing, fraudulent emails and smishing and it was incredible to know how creative and ahead of the curve these fraudsters and scamsters are.

It was great to see Mark Hodges. MP, Castle Hill, taking keen interest in the panel discussion and he mentioned how in his own lifetime he has seen enough of these incidents and thus firmly believes that more such awareness programs should be run for the benfit of gullible individuals and small business owners.

The afternoon became more thoughtful with the volunteers putting together a great ramp-walk showcasing the amazing Indian attires sponsored by The Thrift Factory, A Pre-Loved Apparel Store managed by Harman Foundation.

As Harman Foundation is dedicated to supporting victims of the domestic abuse, the fashion show models walked to the theme of courage and resilience. Kudos to Tiya Gorain and Uthra Raghavasimhan  for putting together the fashion walk with a purpose.

It was amazing to meet all the fabulous behind- the- scene volunteers who support the big vision of Harman Foundation selflessly
